00:00 You’ve already come across the iterator. Today we’re going to look at a data type that’s very closely related to the iterator, the generator. In fact, the generator is an iterator, and this data type is useful when you want to create data on the fly.
00:17 So rather than storing data in a list or a dictionary or a table, or any other data type, you want to generate the data you need and use it straight away.
00:30 And as you see, some advantages of this are that you don’t need to store lots of data in memory. You’re creating the data as and when you need it. There are different ways of creating generators.
