It needs to updated for ST4. Some of the instructions were a little off. But not unbearable. There are changes in the layout of the Preferences menu bar. The SideBar recommended package wasn’t listed anymore.
I worked through the text before realizing there was a zip file I could download with all the settings. Like everyone who has been burned once, I saved all my settings first. So many of the new ones didn’t fit version 4, that I deleted them all and reverted to my saved versions.
While I was trying with the downloaded settings, the system complained many times about the color scheme. After I had reverted to the old ones I tried to use the recommended color scheme. It let me ask for them, but when it used them I basically had just black and white.
I very much want to be able to use conda environments with my projects. Sublime Text doesn’t do this in an obviously way out of the box. I’m sure that some variant of using either PowerShell or the Command prompt will work. This is not your problem, but you could solve it in the new edition of your book.
I won’t be sure until I’ve spent time coding, but I think that I am satisfied with my purchase.
