Rebecca is a PhD student at the University of Leeds studying computer science. She is particularly interested in machine learning and computer vision applied to medical imaging. Specifically, she uses deep learning to support the pathology workflow through domain-aware analysis of digital histopathology images. Before she began the PhD, she worked as a programmer and did a MSc, also in computer science.
She likes Python, C, and Ruby (which she doesn’t use very much these days), and spends her spare time cooking things in the kitchen and inviting people to come eat them with her.
