Important: Open your terminal and start Claude Code before following with the video above:
$ claude
Type claude and press Enter to start a new Claude Code session in any folder of your system.
Ideally, you initiate Claude Code not in your user folder but in a project folder that you trust.
Watch the video above and follow along as I set up Claude Code for the first time.
The most important step for you is to Authorize Claude Code by logging in. If you cancelled the onboarding, you can always use /login to log into your Claude account again.
After the process, you can close Claude Code by pressing Ctrl + C twice or by typing /exit and pressing Enter.

Don’t forget to mention to navigate to your project folder before setting up claude, because a naive user could “trust” their user folder with a bunch of garbage in it.
