About Doug Farrell
Doug has been programming for a long time in quite a few languages in quite a few industries. He’s worked in process control, embedded systems, retail CD Rom software and both Internet and Intranet web applications. Currently Doug is fortunate enough to code in Python, with a large slice of JavaScript just for fun. He also teaches Python to kids at a STEM place near where he lives, and writes course materials for the same. He and his wife are fairly long distance cyclists, and he’s recently gotten back into painting after a long hiatus from artistic pursuits.
He’s also writing a book for Manning Publishing, “The Well-Grounded Python Developer”.
