DeepCode is an AI-powered code review and static application security testing technology that combines symbolic and generative AI with machine learning trained on large volumes of permissively licensed open-source code, plus a security knowledge base maintained by Snyk researchers, to surface bugs, security vulnerabilities, and code quality issues. Snyk now brands the engine DeepCode AI, and it powers Snyk Code, the static analysis product in the Snyk AI Security Platform.

DeepCode scans code changes in real time, leaving review comments on pull requests and highlighting issues directly inside integrated development environments (IDEs), such as JetBrains IDEs and Visual Studio Code. The same engine also drives Snyk Agent Fix, formerly known as DeepCode AI Fix. It turns findings into suggested one-click remediations and adds AI-based risk prioritization. Its semantic models go beyond simple pattern matching to understand program logic, data flow, and API usage across files.
