CodeGeeX is a multilingual family of open-weight code-generation models and a free IDE assistant, providing code completion, generation, and cross-language translation for developers.
Newer models support long-context chat, function calling, repository-level Q&A, and optional local deployment. The extensions offer inline chat, code review, unit-test generation, and an agent mode. They route requests to GLM models from Z.ai, formerly Zhipu AI.
Official extensions are available for integrated development environments (IDEs), such as Visual Studio Code and JetBrains.
