Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Copilot, previously known as Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise, is Microsoft’s generative AI assistant available on the web and through dedicated apps for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, as well as in Microsoft Edge and Bing.

It delivers web-grounded answers with citations, generates images from text prompts, and is helpful for research, explanations, coding help, and general productivity tasks. Copilot is also multimodal: Copilot Voice supports spoken back-and-forth conversations, Copilot Vision can look at your screen or phone camera and answer questions about what it sees, Deep Research runs longer multi-step web investigations, and Copilot Pages turns chat output into an editable, shareable canvas.

For work accounts that use Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft provides Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, an offering with enterprise data protection, or EDP. In Microsoft Edge, Copilot’s AI features are built directly into the browser.
